1st Team Wicketkeeper required
We have an opportunity for a 1st team wicketkeeper at Meltham with the departure of El Maltesero to New Zealand. If anybody out there wishes to join a progressive club and develop as a first team wicketkeeper please get in touch or come to the winter nets. We have a very limited budget (i.e. none) but would welcome anybody keen to play first team cricket in a side challenging for promotion with great facilities and opportunities to get in touch.

Should we progress further rounds are scheduled for:

17th July - Semi Final
29th July - Final
The AGM 2012
The annual AGM was held on Tuesday 7th Feb where new committee and officials were voted in. The major area of concern was again the downturn in revenue which means all members should look to recruit sponsors wherever possible or back fundrasising initiatives.
The positives to come out of the meeting were that only Luke Kenworthy has left the club (to live in New Zealand) and we haven't received any official requests from other clubs with respect to our current players. Also the annual expenditure has again been cut to about what some Premiership clubs pay players in a month.
Winter Nets 2012 -Sundays at Newsome High School for both Juniors & Seniors

Juniors from 2 until 3pm.
Seniors & any juniors wanting to play in seniors 3 until 4pm

League Fixtures released for 2012 - Start 21st April
The fixture computer has finally done its work and the senior fixtures for 2012 are now ready to view in the fixtures & results section.
For the 1st team it is the short trip to batters paradise Holmfirth before welcoming Thongsbridge to the MCG in what is a very local league.
Other highlights include going back to tradition with the visit of the cross jostlers on bank holiday Monday.
The 2nds welcome near neighbours Armitage Bridge on the opening day before a trip to Shat. Luckily again this year visits to the coldest holes seem to be mid season.
CUP DRAWS ANNOUNCED FOR 2012
It will be deja vu when we return to our near neighbours Marsden in the Sykes Cup 1st round - We will be looking to make up for last year's disappointing defeat when we threw the game away. In the Paddock Shield we look to have a favourable home tie against Kirkheaton. In the "Pop n Crisps" trophy aka The Oddfellows Cup we entertain Barkisland .
League fixtures to follow when announced by the League.
