1st Team 2nd Team Under 15s Under 13s Charity Match - 22/8/10 2010 Juniors 151/7 vs 1979 Juniors 142 all out In front of the biggest crowd at Meltham in years the current juniors triumphed over there 40 something counterparts in a tense and thrilling game. Batting first on a beautiful & warm summers day the current juniors took advantage of the tired old legs in the field to amass a decent total 151/7. The game was always in the balance after Parker & Holmes opening for the senior juniors scored at will off the bowling of Wallis & Steeples. It came down to the senior juniors needing 11 off 2 overs with 3 wickets left, but they could not manage to score the runs as the returning opening bowlers mopped up the tail to secure a tense 9 run win. |
